Per-load carrier diligence · the file, not the lookup

You checked the carrier. Now it's on the record.

At booking time you looked it up: authority, insurance on file, the safety snapshot, the phone number you dialled and where that number came from. Sixty days later a claim, a shipper audit or an insurer asks what you knew. Broker Diligence keeps that per-load record — the fields as they were shown, screenshots of the screen you read, a timestamp and a SHA-256 over the lot — and hands you a one-page PDF, or a week's worth in one zip.

$29/month flat, unlimited loads and users. Subscribe on the plan page; billed monthly through Stripe.

Why a broker keeps the file

From the brokerage side of r/FreightBrokers, verbatim and dated:

"the job isn't really 'is this carrier fake,' it's 'can I prove I did diligence on every load if something goes wrong.' … honestly we're spreadsheet-based, no real TMS, which is probably the actual problem."

"what your tool showed you at that moment can't [be rebuilt]. Save the report as a PDF instead of just looking at it. - What only you know: who you talked to, which number you called (and that it came from FMCSA), the COI you were actually sent … - Who did the check, and when."

The platform that sits behind most brokered loads lists "No Export capabilities" on its own plans page (read 2026-09-29). That is the gap this fills: the ability to hand the file to someone else.

What one load's file holds

The load

Load/reference number, the customer it is for, and the carrier's legal name with MC and DOT numbers.

What you saw

Authority status, insurance on file, the safety rating and BASICs as they were displayed, the phone number you used and where it came from — typed exactly as the screen showed it.

The evidence

Screenshots of the FMCSA screen and the COI as PDF or image, stored on our volume under their own SHA-256. A file that changed would not match its name.

The digest

Every snapshot is timestamped and carries one SHA-256 over the canonical field set plus the sorted file digests. Recompute it any time from the page or the export.

The sheet

The five-minute answer: one sheet with the fields, the digest, the file list and the screenshots, ready to forward to a shipper, an insurer or a lawyer.

The pack

Every snapshot in a date range, with manifest.csv and the evidence files. Built on demand; the export itself is logged with its own digest.

The screens themselves

Every shot on this page is this product's own screen, with the seeded demo workspace loaded. Nothing here is a mockup.

Why not the $99/mo monitoring platforms?

They sell continuous monitoring and they sell it well. What they do not sell is the file: a small brokerage that needs to prove diligence on the loads it actually booked can keep that record here for $29 a month, without moving its vetting onto a new platform.

Built to be boring on purpose

One SQLite ledger on one volume, a server-rendered page, no trackers, no third-party assets, no JavaScript framework. The record is text and bytes with a hash over them, which is the only kind of record that survives a platform change.

Questions a broker asks

Do I have to move my vetting onto this?
No. Check the carrier where you already check it — FMCSA, Highway, Carrier411 — then spend thirty seconds typing what it showed. The lookup is not the product; the file is.
Is the FMCSA lookup included?
If a free FMCSA L&I webkey is configured, the load page offers "Fetch carrier data" to prefill the snapshot. Without a key everything works by hand, and the app says which mode it is in.
What exactly is hashed?
The canonical field set — the fields as captured, with fixed keys and empty values for unanswered ones — plus the sorted SHA-256 of every evidence file. The hash is shown with the load and recomputed on the page, so you can see it is stable rather than take our word for it.
Can I re-do a check later?
Yes, and it adds a row rather than editing the old one. A snapshot is never rewritten: a re-check is a new snapshot with its own timestamp and hash, and the load shows the history.
What happens to my records if I stop paying?
Export stays available for 30 days after the paid period ends, as it says in the terms. The zip is the whole record, so nothing is trapped here.
